I completed the last of the birthday requests today. Three of my siblings birthday’s come within the next month. I already completed and posted the Jigglypuff doll. The other two siblings wanted paintings. One wanted some sort of “landscapey” painting, and the other requested a Kingdom Hearts painting. I completed the bridge painting last night and the Kingdom Hearts painting today.
So now I’m all ready for the next time I go to visit my family (next weekend), and I will come bearing homemade gifts. Bring on the birthdays because this girl is prepared!
Now I can work on completing my latest doll/pattern, Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. 😀
I completed a birthday gift for one of my siblings. I got the pattern for this doll from Wolfdreamer’s blog. (http://wolfdreamer-oth.blogspot.ca/2009/03/this-is-jigglypuff-i-made-for-kids.html) I didn’t have white felt, so for the white I crocheted a circle (1: mr 6, 2: inc around, 3: (sc, inc) around) and for the white shine in the eye I just used a little bit of paint.
My little baby turned 3 months old yesterday! She’s growing up so quickly. She’s really getting into grabbing things now and using her hands more. She loves her new doll as the arms are the perfect size for her to grab. 🙂
So I’ve been playing around a bit with my Princess Zelda pattern. I was wondering if anyone would like to test the pattern and give me some feedback on it. Just leave me a comment if you are interested. 🙂
UPDATE: Princess Zelda will now be available for free on Ravelry. The pattern isn’t the best. It was done when I was still new to crochet. It was only my second amigurumi and the very first time I tried to make something without a pattern. I’ve gotten a lot better since then and maybe one day I will revisit the idea of making another Princess Zelda. 🙂
Find it here!
So I just got my husband to take some pictures of me with the Zelda scarf so that I can get it up and listed on Etsy. I finished the Baby Belle doll last night, so I need to take pictures of that and send that with my notes to Kairyk. Next on the list? I SHOULD start on the Jigglypuff doll….but I REALLY want to make a Ariel doll right now. We’ll see what I do. 🙂
The scarf is listed in my Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/listing/127393941/legend-of-zelda-scarf-its-dangerous-to
I had a nice little break working on the Zelda Text scarf, but now it’s back to the amigurumi. I’m currently testing a pattern for another blogger, and should have that finished this weekend.
Three of my siblings birthdays are coming up in the next month. ( I am the second oldest of 8 children. I have 5 sisters and two brothers! Crazy, eh?) I’ve offered to make them each something of their choice for their birthday. Two already have picked out what they would like me to make. One would like a Jigglypuff doll and the other would like a landscape painting. The last one (who’s birthday is coming up first!) is yet undecided.
Since I don’t have any new crochet pictures, I’ll just put up a picture of a painting I did in January. 🙂
I just finished the Zelda scarf that I was working on. I think I’ll get my husband to take some pictures tomorrow of me modeling it outside. Once I get some decent pictures of it, I plan to add it to my Etsy shop.
The scarf reads, “It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.”
